REPLICATE THE REAL WORLD
Information captured in to the system needs to represent and be as close as possible to the real world to ensure that the data is accurate and makes sense to those who view it.
SERVE AS THE SOURCE OF TRUTH
NetBox must be seen as the the final representation of all the data and the only trusted source within the environment. Correct information in, provides exponetially better information out.
KEEP IT SIMPLE
NetBox operates on the 80/20 rule. Support 80% of the required features to maintain as simple a system to manage and operate as possible. As it supports a well documented API, additional custom functionality could be added.
HUMAN REVIEW OF DATA INPUT
Data captured is not automated to allow for confirmation and verification. One is discourage to automate the input of data unless it is 100% verified since NetBox will be the defacto source of all data available.
We manage your Netbox instance and keep it updated for you to use at anytime.
